More about my background & qualifications:
I have always chosen to work where I can help people. In my early career, this involved helping people to build confidence and self esteem. As a result, they went on to improve their prospects in current employment, further their education and training or successfully change career.
I became interested in how improved self esteem and awareness positively affected relationships in all areas of life. This led to a desire to further my knowledge and my own career change. My first counselling training and experience was with FFLAG when I counselled individuals and families coming to terms with different sexuality in the family.
I went on to train with Relate and have worked with them for many years as well starting my own private practice. I have counselled around 2000 couples, individuals and young people. This wealth of experience, together with my personal and professional training and qualifications, means you can be confident I have successfully helped people through most of the issues that make life difficult at times - so let me help you.
Continuing membership of BACP means I must take part in further personal and professional development training at least twice yearly and my working practice must be quality assured on a monthly basis by a certified practitioner.
