More about my background & qualifications:
I have always chosen to work where I can help people. In my early career, this involved helping people to build confidence and self esteem. As a result, they went on to improve their prospects in current employment, further their education and training or successfully change career.
I became interested in how improved self esteem and awareness positively affected relationships in all areas of life. This led to a desire to further my knowledge and my own career change. My first counselling training and experience was with FFLAG when I counselled individuals and families coming to terms with different sexuality in the family.
I went on to work and train with Relate for many years and later to start my own private practice. This wealth of experience, together with my personal and professional training and qualifications, means you can be confident I have successfully helped people through most of the issues that make life difficult at times - so let me help you.
Continuing membership of BACP means I must take part in further personal and professional development training at least twice yearly and my working practice must be quality assured on a monthly basis by a certified practitioner.
