Confidentiality:

Counselling and psychotherapy offer a safe, non-judgmental and confidential environment. Nevertheless, all therapists working through any medium, are required by law to break that confidentiality if we feel our clients are in danger of hurting themselves or someone else, or express intent to break the law.

In the case of you expressing a need for emergency support during our work, I will request your permission to contact your GP and/or recommend alternative forms of support to ensure the best level of care for you.

Online counseling is not suited if you have an enduring mental illness or are experiencing extreme distress.

Code of Ethics
In accordance with counselling and psychotherapy code of ethics, all my therapeutic practice abides by the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) Code of Ethics and to UK law.

In line with all of these I am in regular supervision for my work and adhere to keeping clients’ identity confidential at all times. Supervision is there to ensure that I maintain best level of care. While I may discuss my work with clients, your identity is never disclosed and the focus is on ensuring that I maintain the high standard of practice I aim to deliver.
